The proceeds from the annual fundraiser benefit the students of Texans Can Academies - Fort Worth who often require support beyond the classroom. Texans Can Academies believe helping these students earn their high school diplomas is critical to breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty and illiteracy. Many of the students who attend Texans Can Academies enter the campus years behind their peers in reading levels and in social interaction in school. The nonprofit charter school system offers support to help students read at grade level, end generational poverty and earn a high school diploma to prepare for college or the workforce.
