Texans Can Academies - Fort Worth Westcreek's graduating high school students were celebrated for their achievements and a difficult journey to graduation with an outdoor and drive-through graduation celebration on Thursday, August 13.
Some of the students were the first in their families to receive a high school diploma. Some have pushed through high school on their own. Most received a diploma that seemed impossible to earn just a few years ago.
Texans Can Academies are a unique network of 14 dropout recovery schools located in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio. The schools are tuition-free, open enrollment, public high schools of choice serving students who have struggled in a traditional high school setting.
