The Board of Trustees of Texans Can Academies, an open enrollment, free public high school of choice with 14 campuses across the state, recently elected Jose Bosco Maldonado as a new member of their board. The Board of Trustees is entrusted with ensuring the continuance of the critical mission of educating more than 4,700 students enrolled with Texans Can Academies.
For the past two years, Maldonado has served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Associa, the world’s leading real estate community management company. Holding several positions in his six years with the company, his current responsibilities include leading the finance and accounting department and playing a key role in the company’s inorganic growth activities by facilitating and coordinating acquisitions. Prior to joining Associa in 2012, Maldonado spent more than 20 years in Mexico working in the private equity and venture capital sectors with a focus on service-related businesses and real estate.
The Board of Trustees, a group of dedicated and talented volunteers, governs Texans Can Academies. These community leaders lend their support and resources to help the high schools in their mission to provide the highest quality education for all students, especially those who have struggled in a traditional high school setting, in order to ensure their economic independence. Texans Can Academies has two campuses in Fort Worth.

Spending most of his life in Monterrey, Mexico, Maldonado, his wife and two children moved to Dallas in 2012. He received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Tecnologico de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, and Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Babson Graduate School of Business in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Celebrating 33 years of providing the highest quality education for all students, Texans Can schools are graduating thinkers. Texans Can Academies are a unique network of 14 public schools in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio. The schools are tuition-free, open enrollment, public high schools of choice serving students who have struggled in a traditional high school setting.
