DESCRIPTION:Since its inception in  1989 \,  Stars in Recovery  has welcome
 d renowned celebrities and respected public figures who courageously share
  their journeys of overcoming alcohol\, substance use\, and mental health
  challenges. Their stories inspire hope\, reduce stigma\, and highlight th
 e importance of access to critical recovery services. \nStars in Recovery
  also honors the enduring legacy of  Clifton Morris  and  Jim Bradshaw —tw
 o respected community leaders whose personal commitment to sobriety and se
 rvice helped shape the foundation of this event. Both devoted decades to s
 upporting Recovery Resource Council and advancing substance use recovery i
 n Fort Worth\, serving faithfully on the Board of Directors and championin
 g recovery in the community. Though they are no longer with us\, their lea
 dership\, generosity\, and belief in second chances continue to guide and
  inspire Stars in Recovery each year. \nThis year\, we are honored to welc
 ome  Darryl Strawberry  as our keynote speaker. A four-time  World Series
   champion and  Major League Baseball  legend\, Darryl has navigated a lon
 g and difficult journey through addiction and recovery. His struggles with
  substance use\, health issues\, and legal troubles—including decades in t
 he public eye—culminated in a full presidential pardon of past drug convic
 tions in 2025. Today\, as an ordained minister and motivational speaker\,
  he shares a message of hope grounded in long-term sobriety\, personal tra
 nsformation\, and the power of faith. His story is a powerful reminder tha
 t recovery is always possible. \nThe 2026 luncheon is made possible throug
