The Black Opry Revue is a showcase of Black artists performing country, blues, and folk music - all genres that Black musicians and Black fans have been making and enjoying for decades. But their contributions in these genres have been overlooked and disregarded for too long, a state of affairs that the Black Opry seeks to change. Don’t miss this out-of-the-ordinary, diverse, versatile exploration of Americana music, happening live under the stars on Juneteenth (and Father’s Day!) on the beautiful Levitt lawn.

Opening for the Black Opry is Arlington pop-funk musician Larry Ladale, described by one reviewer as “...energetic and inspiring….Larry reminds us all how to endure hardship while maintaining a positive outlook through creation.” If you love the joy and flash of 80’s rock, the grit of blues, the solace of gospel, and the bounce of pop and funk, this Levitt performance from Larry Ladale is sure to satisfy.

Bring your lawn chairs and coolers for this FREE concert of Black artists, made possible by support from Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital-Arlington and the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation.
