Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s legendary, mysterious, unfinished masterpiece is the heart of our spring concert with orchestra. His Requiem is famous for the intrigue surrounding its composition: an anonymous commission, Mozart’s death while composing it, and its secret completion. Beyond the intrigue is one of the most powerful, transcendent settings of the traditional Requiem text ever written. With a revival of favorite works from our 60-year history by Handel and Brahms, and a brand-new commissioned piece by Taylor Scott Davis, this season finale is not to be missed.
